A fist full of musketeers

Both an adaptation trope and a death trope, Spared by the Adaptation refers to cases wherever a character who died in the source material does not die in an adaptation. Perhaps the Media Watchdogs, Executive Meddling, and/or the creator wanted to make it igniter and Softer than the original. Maybe the fictional character was a fan favorite and the work party wanted to throw them a bone. Maybe the death stood out as especially pointless, and people in charge took it as a given that life is cruel and unfair so they didn't condition to kill a beloved quality just to make that point to the audience yet again.

As Athos arrives in Paris, on the run from his tragical past, a chain of events leads him to the other than Musketeers, and into an adventure that will seal their fates as brothers and heroes for the rest of their lives.
